The Band

David Brachfeld- vocals, lead guitar
David has been playing guitar since the age of 12, when he got his first guitar & was “glued to it immediately”. He is predominately self-taught, though he has also studied with Stan Chan of Manalapan, NJ. David has been writing & recording his own music from the time he was 16, & started designing his own guitars 2 years later. Prior to joining One Flight Up, David has played with such bands as Plain English, Ballistic, Java, & Aural Groove.

E.J. Logel- bass, keyboards
E.J. spent the better part of the ‘80s studying piano, & not long after began playing the guitar. He has collaborated on a number of projects, ranging from electronica-infused improv rock to classic rock cover bands. He has worked with One Flight Up guitarist David Brachfeld on various cover & original projects, & played keyboards in the “not-famous experimental jam-rock band”, the Moops, playing only vintage electric instruments. E.J. began playing the bass a few years ago, & we plan to make sure he puts all of his talents to good use!

Mike Idenden- drums, percussion, vocals
Mike Idenden has been playing percussion & singing since the age of seven. He has studied with a variety of teachers, including Gerry Polci (formerly of Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons) & Nick Cerrato. Mike has done a great deal of work with different school districts, playing in the pit for musical productions. He has also performed with the Mel-O-Chords, a Broadway-style singing group based out of the Montclair Operetta Club, the Bloomfield Civic Band, & the Garden State Concert & Marching Bands. In addition, Mike has been seen with bands such as Shelly Riff, the Charisma Trio, & 4Play. In addition to performing with One Flight Up, Michael is also working on several projects of original  music, including a large scale work for orchestra & choir. He also teaches drumset & percussion lessons at his home in Hillsborough, NJ.
